Reducing treatment time can be beneficial for both the clinician and the patient, but it should not compromise the thoroughness of cleaning infected tissue. Complete bone regeneration is an expected outcome following successful treatment but is not the immediate focus during the retreatment process; rather, it is a result of effectively removing the infection and achieving proper root canal sealing. Therefore, the main emphasis remains on eliminating the infected tissue to facilitate successful healing and restoration of function.
